Mirka anticipe sa croissance en étendant son usine
Mirka annonce l'investissement de 20 millions d'euros sur deux ans pour agrandir son site de Jeppo (Finlande). Celui-ci accueille à la fois le siège social de l'entreprise familiale, son usine, ses unités de R&D et une partie de ses stocks. L'industriel prévoit d'étendre sa plateforme de stockage automatisée, en lui adjoignant une nouvelle unité de production. "Concrètement, nous dépassons les limites de nos installations, notamment en ce qui concerne notre capacité de stockage ici à Jeppo, d'où la nécessité de nous agrandir", explique Stefan Sjöberg, PDG de Mirka
Cette décision répond aux exigences environnementales européennes. Ces dernières impliqueront de nouvelles méthodes de production et des nouvelles gammes d'abrasifs. Le fabricant veut donc élargir sa gamme de produits, améliorer son outil de production et agrandir sa capacité de stockage. Enfin, il vise d'abord une à fluidifier les processus de fabrication et de logistique.
354 millions d'euros de chiffre d'affaires
Ces travaux devraient s'étendre entre début 2023 et 2024. Tandis que la mise en service du nouvel entrepôt à hauts rayonnages s'annonce en 2025. "Les calendriers parlent d'eux-mêmes. Même si les tendances actuelles du marché ralentissent légèrement et que nous voyons encore les effets de la pandémie sur l'économie mondiale, nous devons agir à temps. Il s'agit d'une planification à long terme", précise Stefan Sjöberg.

Le spécialiste a maintenu une croissance régulière ces dernières années. Il a su tirer son épingle du jeu lors de la crise sanitaire, en s'adaptant aux changements. Les 1 500 employés de Mirka et de ses 18 filiales (en Europe, au Moyen-Orient, en Asie, en Amérique du Nord et du Sud) ont réalisé un chiffre d'affaires de 354 millions d'euros – contre 206 millions d'euros avec 1 000 salariés en 2015. Les consommables, outils et équipements qu'ils produisent sont dédiés aux domaines de l'automobile (réparation et première monte), de l'aéronautique, du bois, de la marine, etc. La stratégie de leur entreprise s'oriente vers l'innovation et le RSE. Elle présente donc régulièrement des nouveautés facilitant et sécurisant le travail des carrossiers.
