American Car City choisit Glasurit
Glasurit annonce sa collaboration avec American Car City afin de proposer ses produits et services à la carrosserie du distributeur, ouverte en septembre 2020.
Un partenariat qui sonne comme une évidence pour le premier importateur de véhicules US en France, qui utilisait déjà les produits de la marque au perroquet depuis l’ouverture de son atelier, cette dernière étant homologuée par plus de 50 constructeurs américains.
"Notre carrossier utilise les produits de la marque depuis des années et il en est pleinement satisfait. Il trouve que cette dernière propose de très bons produits faciles à appliquer, une bonne colorimétrie et un suivi de qualité. De plus, il a tissé, avec les années, un très bon relationnel avec elle. De ce fait, au moment de l’ouverture, choisir Glasurit est devenu une évidence", indique American Car City.
Une carrosserie dédiée aux voiture US
Située à Coudray-Montceaux dans l’Essonne (91), la carrosserie est intégrée dans l’atelier de 2 000 m² du distributeur spécialisé, qui reçoit des milliers de véhicules chaque année. Elle propose, en plus des prestations habituelles, un service de tôlerie à l’ancienne et une prestation de débosselage. Grâce à ce partenariat, American Car City entend s'appuyer sur l'offre de Glasurit pour rapidement développer son activité réparation - collision.
"Pour chacune de nos homologations, nous fournissons également les outils appropriés, des conseils personnalisés et des plans d'actions afin d’améliorer les activités des ateliers et développer les opportunités commerciales !", met en exergue Eric Verwacht, directeur commercial France de Glasurit.

Spécialiste de l’import de véhicules américains
American Car City a lancé ses activités en 1999, en commençant par l'import de SUV, de sportives et de pick-up des États-Unis. Aujourd'hui, le distributeur vend environ 500 véhicules par an, dont 70 % de voiture neuves et 30 % d'occasion . American Car City possède deux points de vente en région parisienne et lyonnaise, d’une surface totale de 13 000 m², avec un stock permanent de 500 véhicules. "Nous sommes plébiscités pour notre service homologation", explique le distributeur.
En 2020, en plus de la carrosserie, la société a lancé une activité dédiée à la vente de véhicules de plus de 30 ans, qui représentent aujourd'hui 10 % de ses volumes. Le lancement de cette activité pourrait, prochainement, donner lieu à la création d'un nouveau service après-vente destiné à la réparation et l'entretien des modèles vintages.
